TellDo does
    Four modes

    Talk to it the way the moment needs.

    Switch by saying the mode's name, or with a global hotkey. The menu bar icon always shows which one you're in.

    Command

    Every word is a command. Keys, windows, tabs, clicks, text editing, all hands-free.

    Say command mode

    Dictation

    Everything you say is typed, with capitals, spacing and punctuation handled for you.

    Say dictation mode

    Mixed

    Commands when a whole sentence is one, text when it isn't. Write and edit without switching.

    Say mixed mode

    Sleep

    Takes a phone call or a chat with a colleague. Ignores everything until you wake it.

    Say go to sleep · wake up
    Not like other voice apps

    Built for people who'd rather not touch the keyboard.

    No account. No cloud. No audio leaves your Mac. Inspired by Talon, with its own engine, scripting API and a tour that teaches you as you go.

    Local speech models

    Download a model once (Whisper, Parakeet and others) and recognition runs on your Mac, about half a second after you stop talking.

    Commands chain

    select all copy that or switch to safari next tab. Say several at once; if one word doesn't fit, nothing runs.

    Click what you see

    click save, focus search, show numbers. TellDo reads buttons and fields through Accessibility.

    Edit text by voice

    A verb and a unit: clear line 12, copy 10 until 15, replace crazy ones with misfits.

    Fix what it heard

    correct that offers sound-alikes; choose 2 picks one. Teach it words it keeps mishearing.

    Speaks code

    dub arrow types =>, dollar brace types ${. Line jumps that know VS Code, Zed and Xcode.

    English and Dutch

    language dutch switches on the fly, or say dutch … for just one sentence.

    A tour, not a manual

    First run walks you through permissions, a speech check and your first commands. show all commands when you forget.

    Native Swift and Rust

    A menu bar app with a Rust core. Small, fast, and quiet until you speak.

    Scripts are JavaScript

    The app gives the power. You write the words.

    • Every built-in command is a plain ES module you can read, copy and change.
    • Add your own in ~/.config/telldo/scripts; they load the moment you save.
    • Scope by app or mode, alias apps, add symbols and sound-alikes.
    // ~/.config/telldo/scripts/my.js
    import { apps, cmd, inApp, key, type, vocabulary } from "@telldo/api";

    apps.alias("browser", "Safari");
    vocabulary.extend("symbol", { tilde: "~" });

    inApp("Terminal", () => {
      cmd("ship it", async () => {
        await type("git push");
        await key("enter");
      });
    });
